I discovered this blog in the summer and wanted to share with everyone. Patty is an Art specialist in the USA, working in Elementary school. She is an immensely generous teacher/ artist/ blogger. It is thanks to her that I have the confidence to walk into a primary classroom and teach art.
To anyone whose knees shake at the idea of teaching drawing, painting, or ceramics, take the time to look at her site.

Tom Barrett's Interesting Ways
Tom Barrett is one of those inspiring teachers who is soooo generous with his ideas that other teachers can't wait to share along with him.
If you haven't seen his Interesting Ways series before then head along to http://edte.ch/blog/interesting-ways/ where you'll find a series of great crowd-sourced presentations that can be used today in the classroom.
I had a look this week at Use your Interactive Whiteboard in the classroom. It's all too easy to use the IWB as a projector/glorified chalkboard. The ideas on this link show how much more an IWB can be.

Hello world!
I am an avid reader of other teachers' blogs. The experience has been both inspiring and terrifying: inspiring because I have learned so much from the generous and open nature of other teachers around the world, and terrifying because I feel I have little to offer in comparison.
So, I have decided to write a blog of my own. If I'm going to eventually teach children to create and maintain their own blogs, what better way than to start my own! I'll use this to record the cpd which I undertake.
I hope that this blog may be of value to you all out there, in the same way as my reading your journeys has been of value to me.
